Parents often pair these together

A read-aloud book for both parents. Eighteen virtues, each opening with a story from our epics and closing with something small you do together — a blessing spoken to the bump, a verse chanted softly, a family name added to your virtue tree.

By the middle of pregnancy your baby's ears are working. It hears your heartbeat, your voice, and the sounds around you. A voice heard often becomes a voice that means safety.
Deep voices travel especially well into the womb, which is why this book is written for two people, not one. There is a line for Maa to say and a line for Papa to say on every single virtue. Ten minutes in the evening. That is the whole commitment.
Every virtue gets two facing pages. The left page tells a story from our sacred texts. The right page is yours — a small practice you do together, the same five steps each time, so you never have to work out what to do.
Read the tale aloud, slowly, with a hand on the bump. Hanuman carrying a whole mountain because he could not tell which herb would save Lakshmana. The ones you grew up on.
A short note on what is forming in your baby right now, so you know why this week matters.
One blessing for Maa to say, one for Papa. A few lines each, already written for you.
Name the person who carries this virtue — a grandfather, an aunt, a friend. Their name joins the tree at the back.
A verse from our texts for that quality, in Devanagari with transliteration and meaning.
Each time you name a family member who carries a virtue, their name joins the Guna Vriksha at the back of the book. By the last page you are holding something no one else has: your own family's tree of virtues, written in your handwriting, ready to hand to the child who is about to arrive.
No — it is written for both parents. Deep voices carry especially well into the womb, so every virtue has a line for Maa to say and a line for Papa to say. That is the reason the book exists in this form.
Each virtue asks you to name someone in your family who carries it. Those names collect into a tree at the back of the book, so you finish with your family's own tree of virtues in your handwriting.
No. Every beej shloka is given in Devanagari with transliteration and a plain-English meaning, so you can say it however you are comfortable.
Around ten minutes, usually in the evening — one story, one blessing each, one verse.
We dispatch within 2 business days. Delivery time after that is set by our shipping partner and varies by destination, so we cannot guarantee an arrival date, but your parcel is tracked the whole way and you get the tracking link by email when it ships. Duties and taxes are prepaid, so there is nothing to pay when it arrives.
We ship worldwide from India. Each item has a fixed shipping charge, shown before you pay. Outside India we take card payment only — there is no cash on delivery.
No. International orders are prepaid in full, including shipping, and all international sales are final: we do not accept returns or offer refunds on them, including the shipping charge. If your parcel is lost in transit or arrives damaged, we will send a replacement once you give us proof: photos within 7 days of delivery for a damaged parcel, or the shipping partner's confirmation that a parcel is lost.
